Who We Are

Temple Beth Shalom of Cambridge is also known as the Tremont Street Shul, and the Tremont St. 20s&30s are the “post-college, pre-kindergarten” segment of the Cambridge/Somerville Community.

We maintain a private e-mail list for 20s&30s event announcements. To subscribe to this list — or unsubscribe — visit the Tremont St. mailing list subscription page. If you have questions about our 20s&30s programming, please contact the 20s&30s Committee Chairs.

Demographics: Tremont St. 20s&30s events are geared toward young Jewish adults (couples and singles) in the 21-39 age range, in the Cambridge/Somerville area.

Prepayment: For all weekday events, admission is payable at the door. For events taking place on Shabbat or holidays, we cannot accept money at the door, so reservations MUST be paid in advance. Prepaid reservations may be submitted online, instructions will be included in the event listing.

Event costs: We work hard to keep our event admission manageable for all. “Student” rates, when available, are also open to the low-income, unemployed, and others for whom the regular event cost is financially prohibitive. “Member” rates are offered, when possible, as an incentive to become a member of our parent organization, Temple Beth Shalom of Cambridge. All rates for a given event will be posted, for events with a single posted cost, it is usually the cost of the activity and discounts cannot be offered.

Housing and Event listings are a regular feature of our 20s&30s email announcements. Please email your listing to the 20s&30s Committee Chairs. Listings should be no more than 3 sentences and must include contact information or a link for more details. Photographs, logos and attachments will not generally be included in the emails. For Housing you should also include neighborhood, rent and any kashrut/shabbos requirements. Please adhere to these guidelines as space in our emails is limited.

The Tremont St. 20s&30s are a program of Temple Beth Shalom of Cambridge (“the Tremont Street Shul”). For directions and other synagogue information, see the TBS home page.

On the TBS Mailing List Page, you can join (or leave) the “20s30s” list for announcements a few times a month specifically tailored to our young adult programming, as well as the “tbslist” weekly e-mail update of TBS community events and information.
